Osso Buco - Beef Shanks

Osso buco are a cut from a section of leg bone.  It has a good chunk of beef.  The inside of the bone contains succulent marrow.  Slow cook these for one of the most flavorful cuts.  We like to braise them in red wine for classic Italian (Osso Buco over polenta) and French (beef bourguignon) dishes.
