Heart

Heart is beefy with a just slightly gamey flavor, the texture of heart is similar to poultry gizzard. The heart is also one of the more versatile types of offal and is rich in B vitamins, iron, coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) and low in fat but takes well to either quick cooking or long stewing. We love to eat it on skewers, yakitori-style.  Our beef heart comes in 1.5 - 2.5 lb. packages.
